Meal Plan Terms & Conditions:

  • Students using federal financial aid must complete the Federal Aid Authorization Form in the My Regent Portal under Financial Aid > Resources to authorize payment.
  • The selected dining plan remains in effect for the entire academic year (fall and spring semesters). Meal services will be available only during the designated hours set by Student Services. Meal plans are not in effect during fall, Thanksgiving, winter, or spring breaks. Service may also be suspended if the campus is closed due to an emergency or other urgent circumstances. Unused meal swipes and Royal Dollars attached to a meal plan do not roll over. No credit adjustments or refunds will be provided for unused meals or Royal Dollars, even in the event of unexpected closures.
  • Requests for dining plan changes must be submitted to Student Services through StarRez no later than 5 p.m. on the first Friday of the semester to be considered. Changes will not take effect until approved. After this period, dining plan changes are only permitted between fall and spring semesters.
  • If a meal plan is canceled by 5pm the first Friday of classes, any meal swipes or Royal Dollars used will be charged to the student’s account based on the daily meal swipe rate and Royal dollar amount used.
  • Payment for the dining plan must be made by the payment deadline or at the time of adding/increasing a plan—whichever is later. Deadlines align with tuition and housing payment schedules.
  • Independently purchased Royal Dollars roll over from fall to spring but expire at the end of the spring semester. No credits or refunds will be given for unused funds after that deadline.
  • Student meal plan eligibility is based on student status and registration. Any changes in status and registration within the academic year may result in removal from the meal plan program. Any remaining balances will be prorated.
