Earn Both Your Bachelor’s & J.D. Faster

Are you an ambitious College of Arts & Sciences undergraduate student interested in finishing your bachelor’s early so that you can earn your juris doctor law degree from Regent sooner? Regent’s accelerated 3 + 3 Law Program gives outstanding undergraduate students the opportunity to seek early admission into our J.D. program. The following schools are currently part of Regent Law’s 3+3 Program: Regent University, Bob Jones University, Christopher Newport University (CNU), Mid-Atlantic Christian University, and Providence Christian College. Please note that many of Regent’s bachelor’s degrees can be completed online, but the J.D. curriculum is only available on campus.

Eligibility

  • Candidates for the 3+3 Law Program must complete three-fourths (3/4) of their coursework required for a B.S. or B.A. before being accepted into the J.D. program. Completing your first three years, does not guarantee admission into the three-year J.D. program. You must have acceptable LSAT scores and go through the full application process in the School of Law.
  • When accepted into Regent Law, you must complete its first-year curriculum (30 credit hours) before the College of Arts & Sciences will award you your bachelor’s degree. The first year of the J.D. program counts as the last year of a student’s undergraduate degree. Student’s who do not enroll in the J.D. program, will need to complete a fourth year of undergraduate work to confer their Bachelor’s degree.
  • By the first day of classes of the final year in the College of Arts & Sciences and first year in the J.D. program, students participating in this protocol must have completed all of their major and general education requirements.
  • Create an account and fill out a Regent Law application through Law School Admissions Council (LSAC.org).
  • Submit your application with your transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement by July 31.
  • If contacted for an admissions interview, establish an interview time with your admissions counselor.
