Admissions requirements vary by program. You may view the requirements for your program of interest by clicking on the appropriate link below.

Non-Degree Applicants

All non-degree courses are delivered entirely online and at the master’s level. Post-graduate level courses are not available for non-degree options. Admission into a non-degree program requires completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree in any field of study 2.50 or higher GPA.

For those who want to study a particular Bible or ministry topic, the Alumni & Pastors Continuing Education Program is available to graduates of the Regent University School of Divinity as well as pastors who are full-time, paid employees of a church.

International Applicants

In addition to the program-specific requirements for each program above, as an international applicant you will need to submit supplementary admissions materials. Our on-campus and online events will help clarify your goals and calling while answering your questions about more practical issues like the admissions process and financial aid.

Your education is an important investment, preparing you for far-reaching personal and professional dividends. In addition to university-wide financial aid opportunities, we are pleased to offer a variety of ways to assist you with the costs of graduate school, including scholarships, grants, tuition discounts for military members, and participation in the federal student loan program. Please keep in mind that school-based awards cannot exceed the cost of tuition. We are unable to assist with living expenses with our financial aid funding. Thank you for understanding this limitation.

Financial Aid Eligibility

All students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to receive full consideration for all available scholarships and grants. The School of Divinity does not require students to accept federal loans, but utilizes the FAFSA data to consider need-based awards. Submit your FAFSA at least two months prior to the start of classes to ensure that loans with be available by the payment deadline.

  • International students are ineligible for federal loans and are not required to submit the FAFSA.
  • Please note these important financial aid deadlines.

Donor Funded Scholarships

Regent University School of Divinity students may apply to the following donor funded scholarships by completing the online Donor Funded Scholarship Application. The application is made available once a year during the Summer semester. Scholarships are awarded for the entire following academic year at that time. Current students will receive notification via their student email when the application for the following academic year has been made available.

Scholarships for Academic Merit and Demonstrated Financial Need

Description: This is an endowed scholarship fund awarded to students with academic merit and demonstrated financial need.
Eligibility: Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Stipulations: Requires recipient to write a thank you letter.

Scholarships with Specific Qualifications

Description: This is an endowed scholarship fund awarded to Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) students affiliated with the Church of God in Christ.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a current student in the D.Min program and be affiliated with the Church of God in Christ denomination. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.25.
Stipulations: Requires recipient to write a thank you letter.

Description: In loving memory of Dr. Charles Holman who taught in the School of Divinity for 24 years. This scholarship was established to honor the life of one of the founding faculty members of the CBN School of Divinity in 1982 and to carry on one of his lifetime goals, “to integrate my professional academic life with a deep sense of what God is about in our world and in the lives of His people. This means that I make it a practice to think devotionally as well as academically, as I live out my life.”
Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time masters students, majoring in Biblical Studies or have a declared track in hermeneutics with the intention of pursuing a career in Christian scholarly work (teaching, writing or research). The student must also demonstrate a high commitment to a local church. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Description: In loving memory of Connie Echols McBath for her influence and investment in the life of Dr. B. Courtney McBath, the senior founding pastor of Calvary Revival Church.
Eligibility: Applicants must be African American students enrolled full-time in the Master of Divinity or the Master of Arts program. Student must also be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.25.
Stipulations: Requires recipient to write a thank you letter.

Description: The Wright Scholarship provides assistance to Divinity students demonstrating a call to the full-time Christian preaching ministry.
Eligibility: Applicants must demonstrate intent to be in full-time preaching ministry for at least five years after graduation. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Stipulations: Requires recipient to write a thank you letter.

Description: Lindvall Chaplain’s Scholarship is an endowed scholarship that is awarded to individuals preparing for military chaplaincy.
Eligibility: Applicants must be preparing for military chaplaincy, serving as a staff specialist in any branch of the U.S. military, and be enrolled as a full-time student. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Stipulations: Requires recipients to write a thank you letter.

Description: This is an endowed scholarship for students pursuing evangelism or missions ministry.
Eligibility: Applicants must be preparing for evangelism or missions ministry. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Stipulations: Requires recipient to write a thank you letter.

Description: This is an endowed scholarship established by Laura Shiflett to honor her husband, the late Rev. Bill B. Shiflett. This scholarship covers up to 100% of tuition costs for the academic year, and will be awarded to a M.A., M.Div, D.Min or Ph.D. student.
Eligibility: Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in a Divinity Master of Arts, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, or Doctor of Philosophy program. Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Description: This is an endowed scholarship for Ph.D. students pursuing a career in Christian research, teaching, or writing.
Eligibility: Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Stipulations: Requires recipient to write a thank you letter.

Non-Degree Seeking Awards

Eligibility:

  • Graduates of the Regent University School of Divinity
  • Pastors who are full-time, paid employees of a church

Description: Qualified individuals may take one Divinity 500-600 level course each academic semester for $150 tuition per 3-credit course plus applicable fees.
