Networking Opportunities

Here are just some of the avenues for Regent students to connect with industry professionals to further their careers.

• The School of Business & Leadership’s Executive Mentorship Program (EMP) connects students with executive leaders who share their experience, knowledge and wisdom from their years as business leaders.

• The School of Law has successfully matched nearly a quarter of its students with clerkships. • The School of Education’s (SOE) Career Switcher program has established relationships with over 25 school divisions, and placements have consistently been 100%.

• SOE’s Educational Psychology Program has participated in a professional gathering at the University of Oxford, where top scholars collaborate on their research in the areas of self-directed learning, autonomous learning, organizational leadership, cognitive psychology, and educational psychology. This collaboration creates a colleague base with prominent thinkers and practitioners in the field of educational psychology.

• The Robertson School of Government maintains close ties with the American Society of Public Administration, International City Management Association, and the Virginia Local Government Management Association through various venues, including conferences, that offer networking opportunities.

• Career Services is a career-focused office that educates and empowers students for the ever-changing world of work. Our services range from the basics of exploring majors and career paths, to connecting with employers for internships and interviews. Regent University students have access to coaches and premier online career assessments. Whether you are a freshman or senior, still exploring career options or know the career field you want to enter, or simply looking for guidance in crafting a high-impact resume, let Career Services be a part of your career journey.

Testimonials

I have incredibly high praise for Riipen. Students thought about this project and responded in ways I have never seen before. This was an excellent opportunity for them to get real-world practice taking part in valid industry projects, and it left them excited and wanting more! - Albert Ball, Ph.D.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Riipen project and learned more than ever. I recently interviewed at a company that asked if I had any experience with blockchain technology, and I was able to tell him I have done extensive research on smartchain. I was offered the position. So it absolutely was beneficial to me. – Bryan Hooker
The Riipen Project is the most in-depth scholarly assignment that I have partaken in. The collaborative aspects could not be more proper in sharpening my communication and leadership skills. Also, learning from my peers expanded my worldview about cybersecurity. I have grown significantly in my operational knowledge of what constitutes Internet and network security technologies. - Kouao Willy Akasson
