Regent University Introducing Seven New Degree Programs in Fall 2025

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Jan. 27, 2025) – Regent University is bolstering its academics by adding seven new degree programs in high-demand fields.

The following seven degree programs will begin in Fall 2025:

Acquire an understanding of the biblical and theological basis of Christian worship. Develop musical performance skills. Obtain songwriting, recording, and live audio techniques. Learn how to use technology to facilitate worship and build teams that inspire cohesive worship.

Expand your musical understanding, theological training, technical proficiency, and creative innovation in preparation for roles as a technician or technical director in diverse spiritual and community settings. Become a leading audio, lighting, broadcast, and technical engineer by creating powerful worship environments.

Gain the research, writing, and editing skills to thoroughly investigate, report, and capture powerful stories as you pursue truth. Learn how to create multimedia reports, traditional stories, or in-depth series articles while enterprising independently or operating as a member of a news team.

Access state-of-the-art film and video equipment in our Communication & Performing Arts Center with an emphasis on creative problem-solving. Sharpen your proficiency in producing, directing, and editing for visual storytelling on various platforms, from theatrical to streaming.

Learn about the unique history of film and the roles it’s played in society through the ages. Hone your critical thinking skills by learning the basics of how to critically analyze and research different aspects of filmmaking and the role of media in culture.

Build on your knowledge of film and media analysis, theory, and history to prepare for a diverse array of career paths. Perfect your literacy, research, and analysis skills, and develop the high-level written communication skills needed in film and media industries.

Discover ways to empower and equip learners with the technological skills needed for the challenges of the 21st century in areas like data privacy, equity, and responsible technology use in educational settings. Oversee cutting-edge innovations in instruction, leveraging AI and assistive technology to enhance learning outcomes.
