Regent Law ranks #3 best-value private law school in the U.S., known for outcomes and support.

Regent Law Named the #3 Best Value Private Law School in the Nation in preLaw Magazine

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Oct. 7, 2024) – The National Jurist’s preLaw Magazine Fall 2024 cover story recognized Regent Law as the 3rd best-value private law school in the United States—trailing only Brigham Young University and Wake Forest.  It rose nine places from when it debuted in the best-value rankings last year as the 12th best-value private law school in the country. The magazine bases its evaluation on employment outcomes, bar passage rates, and cost.

The cover story noted “Regent Law’s high employment rate” and quoted Brad Lingo, dean of Regent University School of Law, explaining Regent’s strong employment outcomes: “At Regent Law, we believe finding employment is downstream from finding purpose.  So, we work with each student individually to find their unique call to the law.”

Regent Law’s emphasis on practical skills training, experiential learning, and bar preparation also received praise.  So, too, did Regent Law’s commitment to “professor accessibility, teaching quality, and a supportive community where students are known and cared for as individuals.”  As Dean Lingo explained, “When those values become part of a law school’s culture, as they have at Regent Law, strong bar and employment outcomes follow.”

The National Jurist’s preLaw Magazine is a trusted source for news and evaluations of law school programs that empower aspiring attorneys and law students to make better career decisions.

This accolade comes as the latest of several recent honors for Regent Law. Earlier this year, additional “Best of” rankings featured Regent Law in the following categories:

  • Tied 1st in the Nation for Public Policy by preLaw Magazine, 2024
  • Tied 2nd in the Nation for Professor’s Accessibility by The Princeton Review, 2024
  • Tied 9th in the Nation for Teaching Quality by The Princeton Review, 2024
