Regent Law Achieves Highest First-Time Bar Passage Rate in Virginia for 2024

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Apr. 15, 2025) – Regent University School of Law is proud to announce that its graduates achieved the highest first-time bar passage rate among all Virginia law schools on the 2024 Virginia Bar Exam.

This distinction reflects Regent Law’s enduring commitment to academic rigor, practical training, and personalized support for every student called to the legal profession.

According to data released by the American Bar Association, Regent Law graduates led the Commonwealth with a first-time bar passage rate of 89.74%, outperforming every other law school in Virginia.

“We are incredibly proud of our students for this extraordinary achievement,” said Brad Lingo, Dean of Regent University School of Law. “This success demonstrates not only the resilience and discipline of our students but also the faithful work and support of our faculty and staff.”

“We’re not just celebrating a number,” added Associate Dean Ernie Walton, “but what that number represents—student success brought about by hard work and a faculty who walked with them every step of the way.”

Regent Law continues to gain national attention for its momentum and outcomes. Just last week, the school ranked 94th in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025–26 Best Law School Rankings, cracking the Top 100 for the first time in school history and earning recognition as the nation’s fastest-rising law school over the past four years.
