Regent Introduces New Bachelor of Education in Secondary Science for Fall 2024

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Aug. 6, 2024) – Regent University is adding a new Bachelor of Education in Secondary Science (Biology) to its fall 2024 curriculum of the College of Arts and Sciences that positions graduates for a career as an educator, school administrator, policymaker and more.

In addition to the general education requirements of this degree program, the following scientific study has been added to the core curriculum:

  • General Biology
  • Human Anatomy & Physiology
  • Cell Biology
  • Ecology
  • Gen Microbiology
  • Genetics
  • General Chemistry
  • Biochemistry
  • Earth Science
  • Biophysical Statistics

Upon completion of the program totaling 135 credit hours, graduates will meet the educational requirements to gain certification to teach biology or related sciences in grades 6–12 in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
