School of Business & Leadership’s Executive Mentorship Program
Mentorship plays an integral role in students’ growth and development at Regent University. Having access to business professionals helps them establish career connections and gain valuable marketplace insights.
The Regent University School of Business & Leadership (SBL) has launched an Executive Mentorship Program to connect selected students with seasoned business professionals who will help guide students one-on-one to their future goals.
“This new opportunity exposes our students to executive mentors out in the business world, most of them holding top positions,” said SBL Dean Doris Gomez, Ph.D.
Gomez noted that SBL’s challenging curriculum provides students with knowledge from an academic perspective and also promotes organic faculty mentorship. “But there is a whole new layer that we are now providing our students, connecting them with seasoned business men and women ready to guide their professional development,” added Gomez. It’s this integration of academic learning with real-world experience that promises even greater career success.
Areas of mentorship could include helping the students: clarify career goals, become ready for the workforce, and increase business connections and improve networking skills. Those selected for this competitive program will be paired with a mentor based on academic and career fields, common interests or availability. The Executive Mentorship Program sets the school apart by providing opportunities that most schools do not offer, all the while enabling and equipping Christian leaders to change the world.
Candidates for the program must be current graduate students in one of Regent’s SBL programs. To learn more about the School of Business and the Executive Mentorship Program, visit regent.edu/emp.
