Tyler Sherron, Ph.D.

Bio

Tyler Sherron holds a Th.M. in Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary (2017) and a Ph.D. in Humanities – History of Ideas from The University of Texas at Dallas (2022). He is also an ordained minister in the non-denominational, evangelical Church. His research centers largely on the life and thought of Jonathan Edwards, with whom he shares a preoccupation with understanding the experience of the life of God in the human soul.

He resides in Chesapeake with his wife, Allie, and son, Haddon (3). They enjoy exploring the countryside for tiny towns, churches, shops and antique stores. And as recent transplants from Texas, they are still looking for barbeque and Tex-Mex substitutes! In his spare time, Tyler enjoys woodworking and cooking, and if anyone will indulge him, he would love the chance to blunder his queen in a good game of chess.
