Young B. Choi, Ph.D.
Bio
Dr. Choi has worked for Creative Technology Ltd., Birlasoft, Inc., and Compaq Computer Corporation (currently, Hewlett-Packard) in Silicon Valley, California, as a development manager. He has also taught at James Madison University, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and researched at ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and Chonnam National University.
He has served as an associate technical editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine of the IEEE Communications Society since 2005; and other journals including the International Journal of Network Management (IJNM) and International Journal of Web Engineering and Technology (IJWET); and conferences including the IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS) and the Asia-Pacific Network Operations and Management Symposium (APNOMS).
Dr. Choi’s research interests include secure service and network management in data communications and telecommunications; information analysis and assurance for homeland security; HIPAA privacy and security issues in mobile and wireless healthcare service applications.
