Paul D. Allen, CFP®
Bio
Paul D. Allen, CFP®, serves as Director of the CFP Board Registered Program at Regent University School of Law. Allen joined the law school’s faculty in 2019 as an adjunct, teaching in the Master of Arts in Financial Planning and Law program. As Director of the CFP Board Registered Program, Allen ensures Regent Law’s program remains compliant with CFP Board requirements to satisfy the education component of the certification program. Allen also reports student completion of the Regent Law MAFPL program to the CFP Board.
In addition to teaching, Allen is a managing partner at a registered investment advisory firm specializing in financial planning for military and veteran families. Allen is also a managing partner at a tax firm located in Virginia Beach, VA. Allen is a co-founder and sits on the board of directors for the Military Financial Advisors Association, the Military Tax Experts Alliance, and the Military Financial Readiness Objective.
Prior to transitioning to financial services, Allen was on active duty in the US Navy for 24 years. He also worked as an intelligence analyst for the Department of the Army and the Department of Homeland Security.
Allen received his B.A. in Geography from Jacksonville University and an M.A. in Financial Planning and Law from Regent University School of Law. Allen is pursuing his Ph.D. in Organizational Management from Liberty University.
