Camilo Ruiz, MFA
Bio
Originally from Puerto Rico, Camilo Ruiz is a visual development artist and educator. He obtained his B.S. in Media Arts & Animation and his MFA in Animation & Visual Effects at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Ruiz has more than 10 years of experience as an educator and has held numerous creative and management positions. As an artist, he has developed a unique set of traditional and digital art skills that allowed him to expose his artwork throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Ruiz also taught various media courses ranging from 2D traditional animation courses to advance digital practices and portfolio production. His research interests include drawing, traditional painting and sculpting.
Ruiz currently teaches in Regent’s Film & Media Arts Department and wants to push students to become self-motivated professionals in the creative industry.
