Bio

Dr. Alicea Jenkins is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology & Counseling at Regent University, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Approved Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Virginia. Jenkins is finalizing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Regent where she also obtained her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jenkins has several years of clinical experience working in a university setting and as a private practice owner. In addition, she has served as an adjunct faculty member with Regent as well as other university counseling programs for several years. The culmination of these experiences lends to Jenkins passion and commitment to aiding future counselors to shape their professional identities and refine their clinical skills. Jenkins is also an advocate for promoting meaningful discussions around ethics, multiculturalism and diversity to move the profession forward.

Jenkins enjoys living the life she has been blessed to live! She relishes spending time with her family, cooking, watching movies, singing, dancing, traveling, and at times, doing absolutely nothing!
