I am very pleased to welcome you to the College of Health & Behavioral Sciences at Regent University. Our new college contains three distinct schools: School of Psychology & Counseling, School of Nursing, and School of Allied Health.
We are seeing a growing demand across the nation for interdisciplinary care that addresses the whole person: mind, body and spirit. Aligning these three schools within one College of Health & Behavioral Sciences allows for more efficient student support, resource sharing, and streamlined administration. We are committed to maintaining a strong focus on the interconnected strengths of faculty in nursing, healthcare management, health information systems, psychology, licensed and pastoral counseling, human services, and gerontology. As we add new disciplines over time, students may also prepare for distinctive career opportunities in business, government, education, public policy, research & development, and more.
Interdisciplinary care and education are the future of health professions. And we are thrilled to be one of the first colleges to structure and unify our efforts in this manner. Both undergraduate and graduate education in these critical arenas of healthcare will distinctively integrate science and faith. My philosophy matches Regent’s motto: equipping Christian leaders to change the world. A faith-based approach to education sets our graduates apart as highly trained, dedicated, and passionate professionals who are in high demand on the job market.
As the Dean for the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, I encourage you to consider applying to one of our excellent programs that best fit your career needs in healthcare, nursing, psychology, counseling, or related fields.
