Psychology Department
At the Psychology Department, students are mentored by faculty members who are doing research, clinical and volunteer work. Many are active members of Psychology organizations like American Psychological Association (APA), American Counseling Association (ACA) and American Association for Christian Counselors (AACC). Research interests currently being pursued among faculty include marriage and family, gerontology, the church and community, AD/HD, adolescents, children, gender identity, spiritual integration in session and in the classroom, guidance counseling and career counseling. At the department, we include projects, group work, and video assignments to evaluate students’ learning. We also continually evaluate our assessment measurements and are currently implementing updated texts for Developmental PSYC and Research and Statistics.
