Joint Degrees

Are you an ambitious learner interested in merging two complementary areas of study? Save time and earn two degrees at once through our joint degree program. Typically only requiring a minimum of two-and-a-half to three years of full-time study (four for J.D. or M.Div.), the program includes the completion of core courses, electives, and methods courses, along with an internship or a thesis focused on a topic involving interaction between both fields. Apply for admission to both schools for the joint degree, meet their respective criteria, and designate one of the two schools to be your primary school. Joint degree admission is contingent on acceptance into both programs. After all requirements have been met, the schools to which you applied will notify you of your application status.

Joint Degree Credit Reduction Policy

In cases where a student is pursuing a joint degree and both degrees are eligible to be reduced, the program with the greater reduction will remain reduced, and the program with the less reduction will return to its original credit hour requirement. If the reduction is the same for both degrees, the student will work with their deans to determine which program to reduce.
