Official Rules and Regulations
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
PARTICIPATION IS OPEN EXCLUSIVELY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, WHO ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. THIS GIVEAWAY IS VOID IN FLORIDA, NEW YORK, PUERTO RICO, AND ANY OTHER JURISDICTION WHERE IT IS PROHIBITED, TAXED, OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
SPONSOR. Regent University, 1000 Regent University Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23464 (“Sponsor”) is the Sponsor and operator of the “Giveaway” and is solely responsible for its administration and fulfillment. You agree to look solely to the Sponsor for any claim relating to the Giveaway.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The Giveaway is available solely to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia.
Current Regent University students along with employees and employees’ immediate family (defined as spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children, and grandchildren or household members) of Sponsor and any affiliate including but not limited to The Christian Broadcasting Network, Inc., Operation Blessing International Relief and Development Corporation, and Founders Conference Center, LLC, (“Giveaway Entities”) are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Winner is responsible for state, federal, and local taxes, and all other costs of attending Regent University. A current student is someone who is currently enrolled for classes prior to the Giveaway event commencing on September 18, 2024.
By participating in the Giveaway, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these official rules (“Official Rules”) and by the decisions of Sponsor in all matters relating to the Giveaway.
GIVEAWAY PERIOD
The Entry Period for the Giveaway begins at 12:00 p.m. ET on September 18, 2024, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on October 30, 2024.
The Sponsor’s computer will be the official timekeeping device for the Giveaway. To qualify for the prize, entries must be submitted prior to the end of the Entry Period.
HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY AND NO ENTRY FEE, PAYMENT, OR PROOF OF PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE.
You may use one of three (3) methods to enter the Giveaway:
- Method 1: Online Entry Submission
Throughout the Entry Period, you can access the online entry form at https://www.regent.edu/togetheragain and fill it out by providing all the required information. - Method 2: Visiting the “Regent University” Sponsor table during the event
Throughout the Entry Period, you can stop by the “Regent University” sponsor table at the selected events where Regent University is present to fill out an entry form supplied by the university. - Method 3: Mail-In Entry
To enter the Giveaway without submitting an online entry, applying to Regent University, or making any purchase, handwrite your full name, complete postal address (including zip code), home phone number, email address, and the phrase “Regent Tour Giveaway” on a 3 ½” x 5” card. Mail this card, with the appropriate postage, to Regent University, ATTN: National Recruitment, 1000 Regent University Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464. Ensure that all mail-in entries are postmarked by October 30, 2024, and received by November 7, 2024.
By submitting the form, you consent to Regent University and its representatives contacting you through any email address, phone number, or mailing address you provide (including via email, autodialed calls, pre-recorded messages, and text messages) to discuss your educational interests.
Regardless of the entry method you use, only one (1) entry per person is permitted. Any attempt to obtain more than one (1) entry will void all entries from that person and may result in disqualification from the Giveaway.
ODDS OF WINNING
Your chances of winning are based on the total number of eligible entries received.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Around November 10, 2024, three (3) potential winners will be randomly chosen from all eligible entries. The Sponsor will notify the selected individuals on or around November 12, 2024, using the email address or phone number provided.
The potential winners will need to verify their eligibility, including age and residency. If the potential winner (i) is found to be ineligible, (ii) does not respond within two business days of notification or after three attempts, the Sponsor has the right to disqualify them and select a replacement winner through a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
PRIZES
$10,000 Scholarship Giveaway:
One (1) winner will receive a $10,000 tuition-only scholarship, which will be awarded upon validation that the entrant has met all eligibility requirements, after which $1,250 will be applied toward the total cost of tuition for eight consecutive Fall & Spring semesters at Regent University, provided that all enrollment and financial aid requirements are met. To maintain eligibility, the recipient must meet a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 for scholarship renewal. The recipient will be responsible for any remaining balance, including all applicable fees (e.g., activity, parking, course-related fees), as well as room and board charges. The recipient must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate, degree-seeking student in a residential program. The scholarship must be used for one of Regent University’s Residential Undergraduate Programs (excluding certificate programs) during any Fall or Spring term chosen by the winner between Fall 2025 and Spring 2027.
Electric Guitar:
One (1) winner will be awarded an Electric Guitar, with a total prize value estimated at $350.
The prize is not transferable, and no substitutions are allowed, except as determined by the Sponsor. In the event the prize is not available, the Sponsor may replace it with a prize of equal or higher retail value.
AirPods 4:
One (1) winner will receive one (1) pair of AirPods 4. The total value of the prize offered in the Promotion is approximately $129.
The prize is non-transferable, and no substitution is permitted, except at the discretion of the Sponsor. If the prize is unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable or greater retail value.
Each prize is non-transferable and must be used only by the designated winner. Substitutions are not allowed unless authorized at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If the prize is unavailable for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute for it with one of equal or greater value.
The potential winners must, within seven (7) days of being notified, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability/Publicity Release, and a W-9 tax form to claim the prize. Failure to do so within the designated time will result in forfeiture of the prize, and a new winner will be selected through a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
The winners will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the value of the prize. It is each winner’s responsibility to consult with a tax professional regarding any tax liabilities associated with the prize. All federal, state, and local taxes, along with any other expenses related to the prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
RIGHT TO USE WINNER’S NAME, LIKENESS, AND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Except where prohibited by law, by participating in the Giveaway and accepting the prize, the winner grants the Sponsor, Regent University, and their affiliates the unrestricted right, license, and permission to use the winner’s name, image, and biographical details globally, across any existing or future media, on a royalty-free basis, for promotional purposes, without the need for additional compensation or approval.
GOVERNING LAW
THE GIVEAWAY AND THESE OFFICIAL RULES WILL BE GOVERNED, CONSTRUED AND INTERPRETED UNDER THE LAWS OF VIRGINIA. ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED, ANY CLAIM MADE IN CONNECTION WITH THE GIVEAWAY OR ANY ENTRY SHALL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, WITHOUT REGARD TO ITS CONFLICTS OF LAW RULES. ALL CLAIMS SHALL BE BROUGHT IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA OR THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COUIRT FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF VIRGINIA, NORFOLK DIVISION. ENTRANTS AGREE THAT SUCH JURISDICTION IS ACCEPTABLE TO THEM. ENTRANTS AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND BY THE DECISIONS OF SPONSOR, WHICH ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL RESPECTS.
MISCELLANEOUS
Sponsor reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the Giveaway or any Entrant’s participation in the Giveaway should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other similar or dissimilar causes beyond Sponsor’s control affect the administration, security or proper play of the Giveaway or Sponsor otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the Giveaway as planned. Entrants who violate these Official Rules, tamper with the operation of the Giveaway or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the Giveaway or any other entrant (in each case as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the Giveaway. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons whose eligibility is in question or who have been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the Giveaway. Except where prohibited by law, the Winner grants permission for Sponsor and Giveaway Entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, and those acting under their authority to use the Winner’s name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, video, in whole or in part, for business, advertising and/or publicity purposes in all media, now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet without notice, review, approval, additional compensation or time limitation.

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
For the name of the winner, send an email to jumpstart@regent.edu. Requests must be received no later than sixty (60) days after the Public Announcement Date.
NO WAIVER/SEVERABILITY/RIGHT TO MODIFY OR DISCONTINUE GIVEAWAY
Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck, and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. Sponsor reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Giveaway at any time.
