TheBlaze Features LUXVERA™

| January 29, 2014

News about LUXVERA™, Regent's new open online education platform, continues to spread. On Tuesday, Jan. 28, Regent Chancellor and CEO, Dr. M.G. "Pat" Robertson was a guest on TheBlaze to talk about LUXVERA and its potential impact. Read the article.

"At Regent University the motto is 'Christian leadership to change the world.' We want to train people who are grounded in biblical values and in traditional morals," Robertson said. "This can have a profound impact assuming there are leaders who come out [of LUXVERA] and then go on to take positions in the world."

Since its launch in August 2010, TheBlaze has reached a number of milestones for web traffic and reach. Currently according to analysis by Quantcast, a digital advertising company specializing in audience measurement, TheBlaze ranks as the nation's 70th most frequented website with about 16 million visitors per month.

LUXVERA classes began on Jan. 22, with the first course titled, "Who Is Jesus?" Developed by Dr. Corné J. Bekker, chair of the department of Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry at Regent, the inaugural free online class explores the life and ministry of Jesus.

Also on Jan. 22, LUXVERA began a series of "GREAT Talks" featuring notable legal, political and religious experts to address issues in politics, law, leadership and faith. More classes and talks will be added during the coming weeks and months.
