December 28, 2012

An assessor from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®) will arrive Jan. 6, 2013, to examine all aspects of the CBN/Regent Campus Police Departments policy and procedures, management, operations, and support services, Chief C.A. Mitchell Sr. announced today.

Verification by the assessor that the CBN/Regent Campus Police Department meets the Commissions state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process to maintain national recognition, a highly prized achievement of public safety professional excellence.

As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments by calling 757-226-5040 on Jan. 7, 2013 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team.

Persons wishing to offer written comments about CBN/Regent Campus Police Departments ability to meet the standards for recognition are requested to write: Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®), 13575 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320 Gainesville, VA 20155
