| October 29, 2012

Regent University will re-open at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 30. Morning classes and activities are cancelled. Essential personnel should report at their usual time.

Hurricane Sandy has been moving north away from Virginia, although Virginia Beach continues to experience some wind and rain, which is expected to last through Tuesday, with conditions improving.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, Regent/CBN Campus Police and Regent Facilities staff members report that the campus sustained no damage from the storm. Electrical power has remained on, and all computer systems are operational. Students or staff who experience computer issues may email or call the Regent HelpDesk during its regular operating hours, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., at helpdesk@regent.edu or 757.352.4076. For after-hours assistance, contact Regent CARES at 757.352.4738 or 855.352.4780.

All campus parking lots are free from flooding, although access roads to the campus may have some ponding of water. Students and staff are urged to use caution when driving to campus on Tuesday.

Any other updates will be posted to the Regent website as needed. Updates will also be available on the Regent Inclement Weather hotline at 757.352.4777.
