Kita Graham holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership with a Student Affairs emphasis from Regent University. Kita has worked in higher education since 1997, beginning at Chattanooga State Technical Community College in Tennessee and Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio. At present, she manages the career development of students in the Schools of Communication & the Arts, Business & Leadership, and College of Arts & Sciences, and oversees internships, supervises student group outreach, and works with our advisory boards. She considers it a blessing to have the freedom of integrating faith and prayer while discussing God's calling for student's lives.
As an invested and enthusiastic member of the leadership team, Kita is determined to provide students with resources to achieve academic and workplace readiness success. She believes all students, at community college and university levels, share a common goal—to utilize their unique gifts and abilities in rewarding occupations. Helping students achieve their goals is a significant highlight of Kita's role.
"The first step in a student's career readiness journey should begin the moment they enroll at the university. Building self-confidence, knowledge, skills, and abilities are just a few of the resources students can get from Career Services. Matthew 7:7 says, 'Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.'"
