Cyber Career Coach/Graduate Intern
Jhaakira Jacobs graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health. However, her passion and experience has always been related with "a desire to help others." As a result, she is now pursuing her Master's in Student Affairs from Old Dominion University. In the past, Jhaakira has worked with the Boys and Girls Club, and now currently serves a cyber-career center coordinator for ODU's Career Management Center in which she also volunteers as a mentor for the ODU center for Major Exploration. She has a broad and deep understanding of career development and is an excellent resource for students as well as a member of the Career services team.
With experience in "resume, cover letter . . . CV critiques, mock interview debriefing, and job search strategies," Jhaakira is ready to assist students with any problem or need within their career development and job search. Her primary goal is "to provide outstanding guidance to students so that they may utilize all of the tools offered and discover how their skills and interests may be applied to their further career."
