2014 - 15 Financial Aid Forms

These forms are for the Academic Year from August 2014 (fall) through July 2015 (summer). As a financial aid applicant you will need to submit various forms to determine your eligibility, apply for a scholarship or appeal an ineligible status. When possible, all forms are made available in Adobe pdf file or Microsoft Word document file formats.

 

Federal Financial Aid (Stafford Loans, Pell/ACG/TEACH Grants)

This is a requirement for any student wishing to apply for Federal Financial Aid. Complete the 2014 - 15 FAFSA online. Several schools at Regent also require the form for school-based aid consideration.

Request Form

(required for undergraduate seniors and all graduate students seeking federal loans)

Must be completed prior to being packaged for federal aid. Log into Genisys directly or into MyRegent then click the Genisys logo. There is no deadline, but to ensure the arrival of your loan funds in time for final payment submit the form at least eight weeks before your payment deadline.  If you are a new student, you will receive your Login/Password information after the receipt of your FAFSA data. 

Federal PLUS Loans are for parents of dependent undergraduate students who are attending at least half-time. PLUS Loans are used to help meet the cost of attendance at Regent. Parents should apply at least four weeks before the start of the semester and only if this loan is absolutely necessary.

Use this form if you would like to have your credit checked to ensure you will qualify before making application. Dependent students may be eligible for increased unsubsidized loan eligibility when parents can not qualify for Parent PLUS Loan.

Must fill out this form, if you are interested in a summer loan for 2015.

Scholarships & Grants

2014-15 Scholarship Deadline was March 1, 2014

Endowed Scholarships are applied for in Genisys. Incoming students can contact Central Financial Aid at finaid@regent.edu for a paper application.

VTAG Application Deadlines:

Regent University will match up to $750 per semester of what your approved Church/Ministry contributes towards your education. Enrollment status will affect the amount Regent University will match:

  • Full-time: 100% Match (up to $750/semester)
  • 1/2- to 3/4-time: 50% Match (up to $375/semester)
  • Less than 1/2-time: No Match

NOTE: enrollment status varies depending on degree level, program, and semester. Please inquire with your school of enrollment for credit hours required to maintain the necessary enrollment status.

(FAFSA Question 23)

This worksheet is only required if the student leaves FAFSA question 23 blank or if the student reported a drug-related conviction. The FAFSA must be filled out by any student wishing to apply for a Federal Stafford Loan or a Federal Pell Grant (Pell Grants are offered to undergraduate students only). Online FAFSA applications take approximately two weeks (during normal processing time) to be processed and the results sent to Central Financial Aid.

**Summer Aid Request Form

 

Students who did not have a summer loan calculated as part of their original loan package must submit this form if interested in a loan for the summer of 2015.

Deadline:
There is no deadline for the Summer Aid Request Form. Yet you must have properly completed the FAFSA for 2014-2015 by no later than June 30, 2015. To ensure the arrival of funds in time for final payment submit the form at least one month prior to the start of the summer term. Submission later than April 1, 2015 is not recommended.
