Meet Our Team
Financial Aid Counselor (Last Names: A-B & K)
Ashley is excited to serve as a financial aid counselor to Regent students! Prior to entering this role, she worked with the Central Financial Aid office for six years as the document control specialist. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Regent University.
Financial Aid Counselor (Last Names: C-F)
Kellie joined the financial aid team in September 2015. Before that, she served for two years as an admissions counselor, and years prior served as a student worker. Kellie earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Management from Regent University, and is now pursuing her Master of Arts in Practical Theology. She is passionate about leadership, discipleship and health, and enjoys traveling with her husband.
Financial Aid Counselor (Last Names: G-J)
Jameel joined the Central Financial Aid team in January of 2016. Fellowship, financial stewardship, and facilitating a teammate-like relationship with students and other Regent staff members are all very important to him as he assists students with their financial aid related questions and concerns. Jameel earned a B.S. in Psychology from Regent University as well, and feels privileged to serve the Regent community.
Financial Aid Counselor (Last Names: L-O)
Brenten joined the financial aid office as a financial aid counselor in April of 2015. Prior to joining the Regent team he served as an Academic Advisor with Liberty University. He is passionate about seeing students succeed and eager to help Regent students identify funding opportunities.
Financial Aid Counselor (Last Names: P-S)
Japri has served as financial aid counselor since July 2012. Prior to entering the financial aid profession, her background includes banking and healthcare patient accounting. Japri earned her Bachelor of Science degree in General Business from Norfolk State University.
Financial Aid Counselor (Last Names: T-Z)
Prior to joining the office of financial aid in April of 2013, Maryanne filled various positions in admissions at Regent University. Most recently, she served as director of admissions for the School of Communication & the Arts. She holds a degree from Northern Maine Technical College and brings with her 13 years of experience at Regent University.
Dotti took the role of director early in 2013 and previously served as associate director since March 2005. Prior to that, Dotti served as financial aid counselor beginning in 1999 until 2005. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business from Humphreys College where she was an assistant in the Financial Aid Office. Dotti completed the Master of Business Administration program at Regent University.
Deborah serves as the associate director of Financial Aid. Previously, she worked as Regent University's student loan manager. Deborah also held the position of financial aid counselor at Regent. Prior to joining Regent University, she worked as the direct loan coordinator at Hampton University. Deborah holds a B.A. in Pre-Law from Pennsylvania State University and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University.
Jon has served in various roles at Regent since 2006. He worked for several years in an enrollment support capacity, and later as an admissions counselor for the School of Education. Jon transitioned to Central Financial Aid in September 2015 where he is excited to continue serving students. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Government from Regent in 2010.
Garric joined the Financial Aid team as a Processing Counselor in January 2016. He previously graduated from Regent University in 2013, where he was also a student worker, and worked in international exports for CMA-CGM America for the following two years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Global Business.
Michael began work in with Central Financial Aid in September 2013 as a student worker. Subsequently, he transitioned into a financial aid counselor role in October 2014. Prior to entering the financial aid profession, Michael dutifully served in the Navy for eight years. Michael will earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Regent University in May 2015.
Beginning in 2009, Andrew served in the College of Arts and Sciences admission's office as an international and senior admissions counselor. He transitioned to Central Financial Aid in August 2012. He earned a communication studies degree from Grove City College in 2009 and obtained a Homeland Security Certificate through Regent's PCE program. He is passionate about storytelling and creative writing.
Financial Aid Processing Counselor
Danijel joined the Central Financial Aid Office in the fall of 2014 as a student worker. He transitioned into the role of processing counselor in the summer of 2016. Danijel studied business with an emphasis in leadership studies and general management.
Scholarship and Verification Specialist
Neketa began her service to Regent students as a financial aid counselor in 2012. Recently, she accepted a new role as the Scholarship and Verification Specialist. With more than 10 years of customer service experience, Neketa is an asset to the team. Currently, she is studying for a degree in mass communications at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and she also serves as a minister at her local church.
Assistant Director of Processing Operations
Prior to this position, Judy served as senior financial aid counselor and as financial aid counselor beginning in March 2003. She joined Regent after serving as assistant to the president of Semilla, Inc. and has served in the admissions and financial aid offices at Goshen College, Indiana. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Goshen College and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Regent University.
Assistant Director of Customer Service
Rachael serves as the Assistant Director of Customer Service to the financial aid office, and she served as both a financial aid counselor and student worker before that. Rachael holds an MBA and M.A. in Human Services Counseling.
Document Control Specialist
Kimberly Simpson has served the Central Financial Aid office as Document Control Specialist since April, 2014. Initially, she came to Regent as a student in the fall of 2012 and is currently pursuing her B.A. in Animation. Kimberly is a member of Regent's chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. Previously, she earned an A.A. in General Studies from Prince George's Community College in May, 2012.
Janine joined the financial aid team as a financial aid counselor in October of 2011 and currently serves as the student loan manager. She previously served as associate director of residence life at Texas A & M University and Residence Life Center coordinator at the University of Oklahoma. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University, a Master's of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Master's in Human Services Counseling from Regent University.
Emily joined the financial aid team as a receptionist in October, 2015. She has four years of higher education experience from Paul D. Camp Community College as a business office technician. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Arts & Sciences in May of 2015. Emily is dedicated to helping students succeed in their educational careers.
Service Operations Specialist
Hannah joined the Central Financial Aid team as a Financial Aid Counselor in March 2013 and she currently serves as the Service Operations Specialist. She has over nine years of customer service experience and her professional background includes work in bankruptcy law and psychological testing. Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from North Greenville University and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Regent University. She is passionate about higher education and she desires assist students in achieving their academic goals.
