La Casa de Español

Regent's Spanish Residential Language Community

If you enjoy learning new languages and exploring foreign cultures, you may want to consider Regent University's Spanish Residential Language Community Program. This Spanish-speaking college community provides a unique opportunity for a select group of students to immerse themselves in Spanish language and Hispanic culture through residential life together.

If accepted, you will spend the academic year improving your language proficiency and gaining knowledge of Hispanic culture through hands-on language learning. Also, you will enjoy recreational activities, community service, local church worship, and casual, non-structured time together—time to hang out and have fun! It’s the perfect way to quickly become a bilingual student living on campus.

La Casa de Español is a designated residence hall for students in this program. The Spanish speaking residence life program requires an oral language proficiency assessment and includes for-credit curricular requirements.

Highly motivated and adventurous students who have studied the language for at least two years in high school or for two college semesters, as well as those who are fluent speakers, are encouraged to apply for admission. The program is limited to just 12 undergraduate participants between the ages of 18 and 24, so if you are interested, please apply right away. Priority will be given to continuing students of sophomore status or higher.

Space is limited, and we expect this program to fill quickly. Applications are due as soon as possible.
