Your bachelor’s degree in accounting will include courses in cost accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, international business and business law. Regent also offers courses required for CPA eligibility in Virginia.

CPA Exam in Virginia Eligibility
To be eligible to take the CPA Exam in Virginia, students need to take a minimum of 24 semester hours of accounting courses above an Introductory Accounting course; as well as a minimum of 24 semester hours of business courses.
Students who wish to sit for the Virginia CPA Exam must take all eight courses in the Accounting concentration, which amounts to 24 credits. This option will require students to take six more credits than will other business majors. In addition, students who wish to sit for the Virginia CPA Exam must take not only the 24 credits in the Accounting concentration, but also must take 24 credits in Business, not including BUSN 220. Students who take all of the courses that are required for the major in Business will meet this requirement.
