Human Services Counseling Program - Message from the Director
Human Services Counseling
Our goal at the School of Psychology & Counseling, is to equip you to become a highly skilled professional in the field of counseling. For some, this will include preparation for a counseling role that involves licensure. For others, the counseling role is concurrent with another professional identity, including those in ministry settings. These care givers often are sought out by others, and gladly work to meet needs, but often with little formal training in counseling. The HSC program helps to address this need by instilling world-class professional counseling attributes in our graduates. Coupled with an integrative Christian approach, alumni rate the HSC MA program as highly applicable to a variety of vocational settings.
The program is also extremely practical, with the lessons learned immediately applicable to work, family and ministry settings alike. From a career perspective, the program results in a master's degree suitable for promotion consideration or new employment opportunities for which a master's degree is required. This degree can be completed In as little as one year. The program is also internationally-focused and military-friendly through its online format. If you mentor others, you are a counselor. Why not pursue a degree that can position you for advancement and help you better serve those already in your care?
If professional counselor training with sound Biblical integration interests you, please contact us. Our staff and faculty are available to help you discover a program that fits your needs and schedule. In addition, you may contact me directly for questions regarding the program objectives and outcomes.
