School of Communication and the Arts

Transform Your Culture through Faith, Artistry & Strategic Communication

Storytelling in the 21st century across multiple media platforms offers unprecedented opportunities for Christians to shape culture and impact the world.

At Regent University our award-winning faculty of scholars, playwrights, and news and entertainment professionals will help you learn how to tell compelling stories while also developing your artistry and aligning your artistic vision with your Christian calling. We offer communication and arts degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. We allow up to 90 transfer credit hours for all degree levels.

Regent’s on-campus and online courses in Communication & the Arts equip graduates for successful careers in film, television, theatre, news, and strategic and political communication. Through script and screenwriting projects, transmedia projects, news reporting, and productions in our film, television and theatre programs, students gain firsthand experience while building their professional resumes and portfolios.

If you’re looking for an innovative communication school or a top arts degree program, now is the time for you to explore all that Regent’s School of Communication & the Arts in Virginia has to offer.

Within Communication Arts, we interweave communication theory and practice; students learn theory and how to apply it in a dynamic environment. Advances in technology are also incorporated in our courses as they continuously impact the field. For instance, Second Life, Twitter, podcasting, Web 2.0 and blogs have altered how we send and receive communication. Studying changes in the field makes our educational experience relevant to the present and a foundation for the future. All of our coursework is explored through the lens of a Christian worldview.

The Communication Studies department equips students to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly advancing field of communication. You’ll be challenged to seek the truth and apply it in redemptive ways to all aspects of culture. Sharpen your skills in advertising and public relations, journalism, social media, organizational communication, and more. Explore these degree programs.
