This manuscript is a strategic leadership handbook for church and para-church leaders. The study of strategic leadership in Christian organizations is necessary to leverage every possible advantage for greater success and profitability. This is not another "pop-ology" or faddish trend, but essential knowledge. There is much to learn from Scripture about leadership. However, it is difficult for the average Christian leader, pulled in every direction by the needs of the organization and its members, to fully recognize and appreciate the critical nature of strategic leadership to the on-going work of ministry. The local leader in the organization; and in one context the local church pastor is the single most important contributor to the church's success in accomplishing its mission in the most important season in the work of the church—today's harvest field. This manual was specifically prepared to aid leaders in Christian organizations in their strategic planning and other critical leadership functions.
