Company Grade Officer Development in the Air National Guard

This project addressed strategic leadership development in the Air National Guard. Unlike the private sector, which can attract trained and experienced CEO's from other corporations to lead an organization, the Air National Guard (ANG) grows its own strategic leadership and promotes from within. To effectively train and mentor young officers to meet future challenges, the ANG needs a strategic leadership training program. This pilot program focused on three training seminars to expose a select group of junior officers to creativity and innovation, strategic foresight, and transformational leadership. The after course critiques validated the benefits of this training to junior officers in the field. This training program is ready for immediate deployment to the 89 units in the Air National Guard.
