In light of Holy Week and the Easter season, Regent University's founder and chancellor, Dr. M.G. "Pat" Robertson reflected on the resurrection of Jesus at the first weekly chapel service in Regent's new chapel building on Wednesday, March 27.

"President Richard Nixon was once asked what the greatest day in the history of the world was, and he said something about America's space program," Chancellor Robertson told the audience. "But the greatest day in the world was the day Jesus was resurrected."

He recounted the story of Jesus' crucifixion, death and resurrection, reminding the audience of both the pain and the joy of the season for believers.

"By His resurrection, we have life," he said. "Praise God, He's coming back again. I pray He finds us worshipping and loving each other."

Referencing Isaiah 53:5, which proclaims healing through Jesus' suffering, Chancellor Robertson prayed for the sick among the combined audience of Regent students, staff and faculty, as well as CBN staff.

The service concluded with communion administered by Chancellor Robertson; Regent president, Dr. Carlos Campo; and other Regent and CBN leaders.

Misty Edwards, a worship artist at International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City, Mo., also joined the chapel service as a guest worship leader during the distribution of communion.

Regent University will be closed in observance of Good Friday on March 29.
