The Leadership Mentoring and Coaching Certificate Programme is designed to train participants to help develop optimal performance and purpose in their employees, leaders or clients.

Instructors:

Kathleen Patterson is LPI (Leadership Practices Inventory) certified, based on "The Leadership Challenge" by Kouzes and Posner, a best selling leadership book detailing the five exemplary leadership practices, and is involved in numerous consulting project locally, nationally and abroad. She is involved in the following professional associations: The Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, IALC (International Association of Leadership Consultants), ILA (International Leadership Associates) and ILA (International Leadership Association).

Dr. Paul Carr joined Regent University as an assistant professor of higher education administration in the School of Education in July 2000. In July of 2003, he accepted a faculty position as associate professor with the School of Business & Leadership. He also teaches various courses in the School of Business & Leadership, Ph.D. program in organizational leadership.

Dr. Corné Bekker served in South Africa on the Board of the South African Council for Theological Education, was nominated to the Standards Generating Body for Theology and Ministry of the South African Qualifications Authority and served on the Consultative Forum of the South African Council of Churches. Dr. Bekker also serves as the Director for the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) of Regent University and was the 2010 recipient of the Chancellor's Award. He resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia with his wife and son.

Oliver Nyumbo has coached CEOs, Senior Professionals and Top Teams in over ten countries including the UK and USA. One key aim has been to evidently improve individual and business results. Sectors have included Banking, Healthcare, Technology, Central and Local Government. Central Government work has included capacity building and leadership development for cabinet members. Results have included: (i) highly successful people developing a more rounded understanding of their unique talents and strengths, (ii) successful people realising that, paradoxically, within every significant success also lie the seeds of self destruction and damage to crucial relationships, (iii) practical strategies for building a better future, (iv) building high performing teams.

Dr. Doris Gomez earned her MBA at the University of Economics & Business Administration in Vienna. After several years in the global business world and years of experience in global trade, retail, manufacturing and consulting, she completed her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at Regent University's School of Business & Leadership. Upon completion of her Ph.D. she moved into the role of director for the M.A. in Organizational Leadership program. She teaches in the school's master's and doctoral programs, serves on several dissertation committees and is s also co-editor for Inner Resources for Leaders. Her research interests include leadership development in the online environment, online education and student retention, cross-cultural leadership issues, leadership formation, character formation in leaders and the inner life of leaders.

Marno Boshoff has more than 20 years experience in Church Leadership, where he has served faithfully over the last 20 years in the Living Word congregations as a leader and lately as Missions Director. He also served as Dean of the Living Word Bible School. As a speaker/trainer, Marno has 20 years experience of speaking with different audiences. His passion is the business of people. "Maximizing the potential of people is maximizing the potential of your organization." He specializes in developing mental resilience and shifting mental models. "When people can't change at the same speed that processes and strategy change, nothing is going to change, except the frustration levels in the organization." Marno believes that shifting mental models in the workplace is of utmost importance to create a learning organization. Learning organizations can outperform their competitors by staying mentally aware of the changing environment of business. Leadership training is his great passion. Marno desires to see great leaders that influence employees to excellence, loyalty and living a challenged life. He is married to Bea, and together they have two wonderful boys: Reuben and Wian.
